Agreed, the WT is the biggest hypocrite. It gets its members to believe two things at the same time every time.
Pulling back the curtain to expose them is the beginning.

by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah’s witnesses imprisoned for their faith—by location.
locations where jehovah’s witnesses are put in prison, sometimes under harsh conditions, for practicing their faith and exercising basic human rights.. .
others are imprisoned for their conscientious objection to military service.. watchtower society: please don't lecture anyone on the denial of basic human rights when you take away the rights of disfellowshipped family members associating with their family and friends!.

nbc new york is claiming "attorneys are expected on monday to announce the filing of lawsuits in king's county supreme court against eight members of the governing body of the jehovah's witnesses for alleged child sexual abuse claims.".

I like the itty bitty teeny tiny quote from the 2011 WT... which says (basically) 'if you go by the business tablets from Babylon's very own time period (instead of the huge picture of a rock (from 200 years later, from a different country) with a crack thru it, featured, highlighted, debated and discussed in detail as if it were the messiah of all discoveries) then Babylons fall was in 587. Period.
All of the blabbering they do in those two articles (cleverly broken up into two different months so you can't remember the "we'll discuss this later" crap they always do to divert your attention) is only done to make themselves look like they have done soooo much research.

his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

it says a federal magistrate in san francisco has now ruled that darksilver can remain anonymous but then it says except for identification to lawyers for the religion’s watchtower publication.

Desirous of Change / DOC..... Yes, it is true. My husband was an elder, and had to testify against the WT in a child abuse case. The WT waited until the case was dismissed in Summary Judgement and then DF'd my husband, my two sons, and the uncle of the child who was abused.
I asked my mother (who is still a Jdub) if she would still talk to us "after the case", as I knew from reading many other experiences that after you testify, after you 'tell the truth', and if you 'talk', you WILL BE DF'd. It came true, just as I predicted... they were disfellowshipped, like many others. The WT does not want you to talk.

I am not disfellowshipped. As my DF'd husband (who stood up against the WT in a child sex abuse case and was DF'd for it) and I were helping my JW mom (and never JW dad) clean up their yard (for months) my JW sister told me "even tho you are not DF'd, we know you are apostate, and you will be shunned!" in a very loud voice.

I think that sometimes people are unaware of what cult" means. I certainly didn't. I always pictured a small few, one or 200 people, if that. Not 8 million people! However, because of exposure (books written by all kinds of ex-cult members from many religions, institutions. TV shows, news media) and awareness, the term cult has "opened up" and people are better able to understand what it means... *controlled "beyond" *made to feel guilty. *devotion to leaders *Busy work. *repeat brainwashing .... all that... -

The WT must realize how many people are leaving, and that they must brainwash these kids to "feel good" "doing something for Jehovah" before they get too old. Reminds me of what Hitler did to the kids in his country.
